According to the Hollywood Reporter it’s a possibility.

Jennie Garth has departed from CBS’ comedy pilot “My Best Friend’s Girl,” raising speculation about a possible stint on the CW’s “Beverly Hills, 90210″ spinoff.

Kristin Booth has been tapped to replace Garth as the female lead in “Girl,” while Jerry O’Connell has signed on to star opposite Niecy Nash in the Fox comedy pilot “The Inn.”

Additionally, Tony winner Denis O’Hare has joined CBS’ drama presentation “The Tower.”

“Girl,” from Sony TV, revolves around two best friends whose relationship becomes complicated when one (Tim Peper) starts dating the ex-wife of the other (Josh Cooke).

Garth was to play the ex-wife. She departed the pilot after the table read Monday in what was described as a mutual decision between her and the producers. Garth has been coping with the death of her father, who passed away after she was cast in “Girl.”

Meanwhile, it had been reported that Rob Thomas, who penned the script for CW’s upcoming “90210″ spinoff, has been looking to potentially recruit “90210″ alumna Garth to reprise her role as Kelly Taylor from the original series in the spinoff, possibly returning to her alma mater as a fashion design teacher.
