What a shame. I was looking forward to this.
As we reported early last month, Beverly Hills, 90210 alum Tori Spelling said she was holding off for at least the first few episodes of the CW’s new spinoff (after signing on to guest star) due to the recent birth of her second child. But now, Us is reporting that the real reason behind Spelling’s backpedaling on the deal could be something a bit less altruistic than “focusing on family” — her paycheck.
The 35-year-old reality star has supposedly reneged on reprising her role as Donna Martin after learning that her two former co-stars Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty would be earning $35,000-$50,000 per episode, whereas Spelling would only be receiving $10,000-$20,000.
Currently, both the actress’ rep and a rep for the CW have confirmed that there are no plans for Spelling to appear in the 90210 spinoff.
