Jennie and Shannen Doing “Many, Many Scenes Together,” and Shacking Up!
Slumber party at Kelly Taylor’s house!
That’s what I’m hearing is in the cards for long-lost friends Brenda Walsh (Shannen Doherty) and Kelly Taylor (Jennie Garth) on the CW’s new 90210.
According to reliable inside sources, producers are planning plenty of ultracozy screen time for the two real-life frenemies—they’ll even be shacking up together temporarily on the new series, which premieres Sept. 2.
“Jennie and Shannen will have many, many scenes together,” said one insider about the four episodes for which Shannen is now contracted. (Jennie will appear in more episodes on a recurring basis.)
So how exactly will the slumber party go down? Well, here’s what I’m hearing…
According to sources, it’s Kelly who reaches out to Brenda to return to West Beverly High to direct the school’s musical (after the original director drops out) and who offers her dear old friend a place to stay while she’s in town. As previously reported, Brenda will have been living in London enjoying a successful theater career and Kelly will now be the school’s guidance counselor.
