August 1, 2008 Here’s a great article at USA Today that gives you the inside scoop on all the characters on the new 90210.

July 25, 2008 New 90210 cast member alert! Shenae Grimes’ Annie Wilson is getting a hot new boyfriend! His name is Adam Gregory and he will play a student named Ty.
What do you think? Hot or Not? Actually, that’s a pretty stupid question. The boy is damn FINE.
Inside sources tell me the lucky guy is named Adam Gregory (pictured above), whose most recent project is the Hannah Montana movie. He plays a West Bev High student named Ty and will first appear in the show’s two-hour premiere Sept. 2 and then appear in a recurring nature. Read the rest at Kristen’s…

Christina Moore has been cast in a recurring role on CW’s 90210 reboot. Moore will play Tracy Bennett, the sexy mama of sexy daughter Naomi Bennett (Nip/Tuck’s AnnaLynne McCord). The CW is describing her as a “Beverly Hills MILF,” which I’m sure brings her former acting coaches all kinds of warm, fuzzy feelings.
You remember Moore from such popular television programs as Hot Properties and That ’70s Show (she played the second Laurie Forman). She also has appeared in such major motion pictures as Delta Farce and Without a Paddle. Oddly, she kind of reminds me of a younger version of Ann Gillespie, who played Kelly Taylor’s blowsy ma Jackie in the original series, so there is a certain logic to this casting. (Gillespie has also signed on to reprise her role in the new series.)
Fun fact! She actually appeared on an episode of Beverly Hills, 90210 back in the day doing fine, fine work as “Sexy Anchor.”
July 25, 2008 Yes! We finally have some episode stills of the new 90210 spinoff courtesy of EW.com.
Long live West Beverly High! In The CW’s much-talked-about 90210 update (premiering Sept. 2), a first-day-of-school ”love triangle” forms when new girl Annie (Shenae Grimes, far left) bumps into couple Ethan (Dustin Milligan) and Naomi (Anna-Lynne McCord). ”It’s awkward for me because I learn that they had hung out before,” McCord says. ”I’m like, Who is this girl? How does she know my boyfriend? It’s a typical high school moment.” Get used to Naomi having a bit of a — oh, how do we say this nicely? — bitchy attitude: ”She’s a spoiled rich girl,” reports McCord of her character who has been likened to original 90210-er Kelly Taylor (played by Jennie Garth). ”Naomi has these faces: She’s got who she is with her mother; who she is with her daddy; who she is with the kids at school; and who she is with the principal,” she adds. ”But then she’s really herself when it comes to Ethan. That’s when you see a side that the audience will connect to. It’s just like, Oh, she does have a soul!”
Along with Annie (Grimes, right) comes her adopted brother Dixon (The Wire’s Tristan Wilds) — both of whom have been transplanted to the zip code from Kansas in order to tend to their ailing ”diva” grandmother (Arrested Development’s Jessica Walter). ”She has an alcohol problem, so our family moves to Beverly Hills to help her,” Wilds explains. Well, from the looks on the siblings’ faces when they first pull up to their new digs, it doesn’t seem like it’ll take too long to adjust to an affluent lifestyle. ”We’re living in our grandmother’s mansion, and we’re just taking it all in,” adds Wilds, who reports that Dixon is a ”ladies man” and a bit of a troublemaker. ”The house is in Bel-Air, so I went up to [exec producer] Gabe Sachs and I’m like, ‘Gabe, did I switch shows or something? I feel like I’m the Fresh Prince now! What’s going on dude?’”

July 19, 2008 Shannen Doherty is all set to reprise her role as Brenda Walsh on the CW’s 90210 remake. She is going to be the director of the High School Musical at West Bev. Read below and as always beware of 90201 spoilers!
It’s official. Shannen Doherty is coming to the CW’s 90210 spinoff for multiple episodes this fall, and according to Executive Producer Gabe Sachs, “She’s going to direct our musical.”
But wait, before you 90-diehards start planning your trip to Broadway to see Steve Sanders in spandex with jazz hands, you should know he meant Shannen’s character Brenda, will play the director of West Beverly High’s musical–on the show within the show.
Still, pretty awesome, no?
Not to mention, this could mean that Katie Holmes won’t be the only TV guest star this season displaying her musical talents. I asked exec producer Jeff Judah if Shannen will be singing or dancing and he said, “It’s possible. It’s possible.”
So where has Brenda been since we last saw her heading off to London to study acting?
According to the See-Dub, “Brenda became a successful theater actress, splitting her time between London and New York….West Beverly Hills High School has approached Walsh to return as a guest director for the school’s musical production.”
According to producers, Shannen, Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth are the only ones who’ve been approached so far to return. “Those are the three,” says Sachs. “We’d welcome the others if there was something appropriate that organically fit in with our stories, but we haven’t spoken to them yet.”
And executive producer Jeff Judah says they do still have a deal with Tori. “She is exhausted from having the baby and when she’s up for it, she’ll be on the show.”
Also:
* The Peach Pit has transitioned into a “hip coffee house” like the Urth Café, and there is a club upstairs. As exec producer Jeff Judah joked, “It’s not going to be like [in the old show], ‘Hey it’s Color Me Badd!’ ”
* Per Judah, many of the show’s real-world lavish lifestyle locations (shopping on Robertson Blvd., etc.) will already be familiar to viewers by way of The Hills and the pages of Us Weekly. He told us, “The audience has become more sophisticated…from following celebrity gossip.”
* Quote of the Moment: “The difference between Lucille Bluth and Tabitha is that Lucille likes vodka and Tabitha likes Scotch.” — Jessica Walter, formerly of Arrested Development and now of 90210, on what distinguishes her two recent TV charactersStand by for more 90 dish closer to the big Sept. 2 premiere. In the meantime, what do you think of Brenda’s latest turn and the possibility of others returning?
